KITCHEN TABLE
This table is inspired both by the early 20th century French architect Jean Prouve and the traditional Italian marble top culinary work table. It replaces the 'Island', typically a piece of the kitchen counter set afloat in the room, with a piece of furniture - naturally separate and distinct from the permanent architecture of the house. It provides great flexibility for today's frequently changing kitchen scenarios (single cook, two cooks, cook and several guests, caterers, etc.). As a table it accommodates many possible social groupings and through its mobility allows many interpretations of a kitchen.
